Impressive and very lively monastery complex, which can be visited as part of a guided tour. We had a very dedicated guide who could have told a lot more. The monastery is no longer colonized and managed by Benedictines, as the name might suggest, but by the Don-Bosco-Salesians who see one of their main tasks in the formation of youth. In this sense they have made new life to the beautiful complex.

Imposing, this monastery!! It's great that you can move freely here and watch everything. We were third, of which 2 persons with a roller shutter or wheelchair. Thanks to barrier-free access, it was possible to enter the basilica. In the nursery we came to some extent like in Spain. And two storks had discovered a favorite spot on the roof.

Yeah, a place of reflection. Especially the basilica. Go in, sit down and just let everything work out. Whether you're a Christian or not. A beautiful courtyard. Recent parking fee, 1st hour free of charge, 2nd hour € 0.50 and from 3rd hour € 1, The monastery Cafe has only opened on Thursday until Sunday from 12.00 to 17.00.

So beautiful the monastery church is also inside, my favorite view is the view from a certain distance to the monastery with the double towers of the church and the mountains in the background. In every season absolutely worth seeing. The reality surpasses the cliché of Upper Bavaria.

Very nice place to stay and keep. Beautiful little monastery shop with the opportunity to cover with Christian spiritual things. Beautiful small exhibition in the monastery. And if you are on site, you should definitely visit the Basilica.

From my point of view, stay the most beautiful monastery in the area with many cozy corners. Beautiful coffee with good tea shops and a great herbal garden in front of beautiful alpine landscape. Only the perfect place to relax.
