Gaijin Izakaya - Reserva de mesa

Came to this restaurant based on the many excellent reviews and the ‘buzz’ it has generated culminating in a ‘Bib Gourmand’ mention in the Guide Michelin (note this is not a ‘Star’ but sort of an honorable mention). The experience was nice but did not blow us away. We had the Omakase Menu. Some of the courses were really very nice, others so so at best. I was particularly disappointed by the Fish and the Meat (we did NOT have the Wagyu option). Brussel Sprouts and Tempura as well as the soup were very nice. Quantity of the Omakase Menu was almost too much for us from this point of view would say that it is not overly expensive for Zurich. Service was sub par, took at least 15 20mins from bei...

As a guest at Gaijin Izakaya, I was impressed by the variety and quality of the dishes. From the delicious Chicken Karaage to the delicate Wagyu Beef, the menu offered a rich selection. The perfect preparation of Hamachi Kingfish, the aroma of Mama Shu Wings, and the tender taste of Spanish Octopus left lasting impressions that definitely encourage a return visit. The friendly service and pleasant ambiance made our visit an unforgettable experience. Five stars – a well-deserved top rating for this outstanding restaurant.

This is the best restaurant in all of Zürich! The food is absolutely amazing and the service is even better!!! Richard and Soner were so incredibly sweet and really made us feel welcome!! Such a great experience and we will definitely be back!!!
