Galen's - Reservar una mesa

I came this morning with my friend at 10:35, hoping to get one of the best burgers in the city, but they said they can't eat until 11:00, but hit a BLT. My friend and I agreed. I love Galens and never miss the compliment of food and service, but this time it was a real miss. The sandwich was served on two very thin white bread slices, a piece of bacon broken to fit the thin little bread. Wilted Salat and the end of a tomato cut round a disappointing sandwich. No pages, nothing but no-frills, not very good together sandwich. And, BTW, it had been cut in haste into triangles and one of the triangles lacked 1/2 his bread. I ate the darn, but I won't do that again. I usually come to lunch once a week with my friends. I'll rethink this habit. I'm sorry. For almost $10, a drink and a bad excuse for a sandwich.

Best. Pancakes. In. The. World. Hands down! I love walking into this good old country restaurant and feeling like I'm in Grandma's kitchen. You walk in knowing that food is gonna be good! Great breakfast menu--their bacon is cooked to perfection, their biscuits are fluffy, and they make a mean over-medium egg. The servers are always super kind and accommodating, like you're family. I bring everyone who visits here now! I haven't had lunch yet, but I know they have the classic meat&3s with the classic southern staples. Good eats that won't break the bank and a staff that makes you feel at home!

Best breakfast in AL. Tell them Tim sent you. Ask for Cindy or Kathy and the cook makes the best chicks and dumplings in town. Tuesday Thursday Saturday. Daily baked catfish.

I got the country ham egg and cheese sandwich which was great. Their country ham has excellent flavor. We stopped on our way to Cathedral Caverns which was great.

The food was really good and fresh. The staff were very nice. They had the food very fast. I'll go back for more.
