This is located inside the Holiday Inn on 13th Ave, as in you need to park and walk inside the hotel to get to it...also, like almost all other places in the area, this is exceedingly slow. That aside, I found this place mostly enjoyable, but in a qualified sense. Servers, from front of house to the actual wait staff, were exceedingly polite. The waiter probably should have brought a notepad for a group as large as we were, but he didn't do too badly, considering, I suppose. His charm and manner more then made up for the couple lapses, which were probably bound to happen by committing that many orders, substitutions and deletions to memory. Located in the Holiday Inn, the restaurant has a convenience factor to consider. ..but that only gets you one star. When I booked our room online I took the opportunity to get a discounted meal rate...which now appears to be a waste of money. We get there and were seated immediately. While the restaurant was empty, it still took several minutes to be served. Sitting next to the breakfast buffet we were quickly repulsed by the numerous health code violations as people commented the food was cold and cooks kept dumping hot food on the top of the old food. This was at 9am...so you can be confident there was food setting out for 3 to 4 hours at that point. Anyone for a heaping plate of bacteria...
Absolutely will never go back unless they fix the issues with management because it was ridiculous. We made a reservation over the phone but when we got there, they said they didn't have us on the books. Finally got sat after waiting and it seemed like our server had the entire restaurant (like 15 tables of people) because he was running all over trying to help everyone. He was excellent but we definitely suffered because one person couldn't be everywhere at once. Clearly they need to hire more staff. Food is not fresh, asked for a salad and the some of the lettuce leaves were going bad.. my turkey avocado looked like it came out of 100h Titanic loop, because, gawd, what a sad wrap.. said avocado ranch in the description, couldnt taste it.. decomposed the wrap to find the avocado (also mentioned in the description), couldn 't find them.. a boat load of lettuce, probably the same one I was served in my salad. Couldn 't finish my wrap I was so appalled by it. My girlfriendasked for the buffalo chicken wrap with no buffalo with ranch instead; which granted I hate when customers do there own pick and choose but she just got chicken and ranch in a wrap... This was a terrible dinner experience! This place used to be one of my favorites, but I will NEVER go back. The menu is small and uninspired. Two in our party ordered the $32 tenderloin they were undercooked and mine was filled with grisel. We sent them back, and the second try the steaks were tough and overcooked. I ordered pesto potatoes that sounded promising...they were a huge disappointment. A little dried basil is NOT pesto. I am pretty sure the veggies in the salad had not been washed. I was still battling stomach repercussions 24 hours later. The reason I gave this one star is because our waiter was very good. I felt sorry for him trying to serve that glop!
We went to the Gallery for dinner and to look at the remodel of the Holiday Inn. The good news is the remodel is lovely; the bad news is the restaurant serves horrible food. My partner ordered a steak, medium rare. When it arrived it was so thin that there was no way it could be medium rare--and it was tough. I ordered a shrimp/mahi mahi dish that was blah. No taste, no zing, and it looked like the shrimp had been mashed together in a kind of patty. The sad thing is that the servers were all fabulous. Too bad they have to work in a restaurant that nobody goes to--and with good reason!
Had the pretzel and cheese. And the Ruben sandwich. Was Phenomenal! Loved the little bits of bacon and green onions in the cheese. Fries were perfectly crispy and soft in the middle. Ill be going back to try again, lots of good sounding menu items!
This is some of the worst service we have had. Ate breakfast here for the past two mornings and the first day was bad and the next was even worse. Food was ok, but we didn't get we ordered either day. Had to ask numerous timeS for stuff we ordered.

We celebrated 3 birthdays for 89 and 90 years young lovely human beings! Helen was an outstanding, kind person and a fantastic waitress. Please treat her to a few of your dynamic meals...... Thanks for the opportunity to dine in your arena. Joan
