Please don't dine in. The dining rooms are smelly, dark and unattractive. Use Gar Lok as your take-away Chinese. Then it can shine :-)Everything is cooked to order and it is fresh and tasty. There are some stand out dishes. Recommended are the Honey King Prawns with Sesame Seeds. Order even if it's not on the menu - they will still make it for you. Garlic Beef is tender, juicy and so garlicky. I have no positive comments to make about this restaurant. I had hoped that there would be a hidden gem beyond the unappealing exterior, but I was sorely mistaken. The staff seemed uninterested, the interior decor was lacking, and the food was disappointing. The roasted rice was overcooked and the meat dishes were drowned in a terrible sauce that masked their true flavors. Overall, the texture and taste of the beef and chicken dishes we ordered were not up to par.
This restaurant has been one of the top Chinese restaurants in Perth for more than 25 years. The food, service, and atmosphere are all exceptional. Unfortunately, there has been a noticeable decline in quality since the change in ownership. I have dined here multiple times since the change and have been consistently disappointed.
I hope they make some changes, particularly in the kitchen. My dining companions also did not enjoy their meals.
There really isn't anything positive I can say. I was hoping that behind the terrible exterior was going to be a hidden gem. How wrong can one person be! The staff disinterested, the decor inside was not much better than out. As for the food, the fried rice was boiled and the two meat dishes swam in awful sauce and could of been anything. The texture and flavour certainly weren't the beef and chicken we ordered.

This restaurant was one of the best Chinese restaurants in Perth for over 25 years. The food was legendary as was the friendliness of the owner and staff. Since the change of ownership the difference is stark. Have tried it on two occasions since the change and never again.I do hope there is a change of chef. Not one of the three other people with me enjoyed any of the dishes.
This quaint restaurant is located next to Stirling Highway in Mosman Park. It may be small and dimly lit, but the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Plus, the prices are reasonable.
We have eaten take away here 3 times and have had hair in our meal every time. Maybe just bad luck. Other than the hair the food was good. Just puts you off a bit.
Small restaurant next to Stirling Hwy in Mosman Park. Don't eat in, it's small and dark. Friendly staff and the food is good. Good price range as well
