Not knowing the area we drove to take a look at possible venues for a family Wake and felt the comfort of the Gardeners Arms on arrival. Sam and her team were kind and considerate, nothing would be too much trouble. On the day we welcomed around 70-80 guests who were all made comfortable throughout the rooms, the log burner already warming the space. The buffet food was a mixture of chicken, spring rolls, selection of sandwiches, coleslaw and potatoe salad, with a variety of sweet treats also. We had a guest with coeliac requirements and a plate was prepared in advance. We couldn't recommend this venue enough from our experience, and many of our guests said they would travel to return here for a meal as it was such a lovely experience at the Wake.
