Gardiner And Field

I love a strong coffee, however I found the coffee here was far too strong and slightly bitter - perhaps the fact that it is served in what appears to be a smaller cup than most other places, perhaps this needs to be compensated for. Was also hanging out for a fresh fruit muffin - the only available was blueberry and chocolate which I found to be very sweet. Very disappointing, does not inspire me to return. The positive was that the staff were friendly and prompt service.

We went for brunch on a busy Saturday. The place was a mess. The service was slow because they were clearly understaffed. My tea did not arrive until 5 minutes after my meal, even though I'd ordered it 20 minutes prior. And it is incredibly loud in there. My nourish bowl and my partner's curry were good, but not worth the bad service and loudness. Won't return.

I'm not sure why Gardiner & Field rates well. It is a cute, tiny place and it is quiet, being off the main drag. The guys working there seem good guys. However the coffee was very average for Melbourne standards. For this reason, I found Gardiner & Field to be over-rated. I won't be returning as there are many better places in Melbourne.

Firstly recommend the owners purchase umbrellas to allow the customers to be in the shade ..if not they will not be able to use the outside tables especially in summer.Shared the beef brisket hamburgers which were very tasty only marred by a grumpy waiter! Local corner cafe with grumpy staff and very slow service. Menu was totally uninspiring. Had the smashed avo and eggs cause nothing else was really appealing. As Boring as described on the menu (and no the flowers didn't make it any more exciting). Hubby had the shakshouka. It was ok. A smile would go a long way.

Love this cafe. The coffee is fantastic I go out of my way just to come get my morning coffee. The staff are lovely always greet me and remember what coffee I have each day. The breakfast and lunch menu is all delicious. I highly recommend Gardiner and Field for breakfast or lunch!!!

Had lunch with a good friend here. We both had salads she had the special which she claimed was very tasty and I had the nourish bowl. Very nice. However for the serving size and contents you get the menu seems a little pricey so beware.

Lovely cafe on the quiet streets of Armadale suburb. Friendly staff and the Avo smash egg with feta cheese was Devine! $90 for Brunch for 4 people, we were on Christmas holidays so we didn't mind but not affordable for regular visits! Reserva una mesa ahora

The French toast I had was very tasty. It was a big piece of French toast with chocolate soil on top with strawberries and cream. The service was a little slow but fine.

Great little coffee shop, hidden away in suburban Armadale. Good food, great atmosphere. Service a little...timid, albeit okay. Coffee was a bit bitter.
