Garfish - Kirribilli

We had a wonderful evening, largely facilitated by helpful friendly staff who fulfilled each of our requests. The range of fish and garnish mix and match options enables you to design your preferred dinner. I had calamari and salmon, both 5 stars. We had told the waitress we had Ensemble theatre tickets, and they timed each course appropriately. (The only downer was the party next to us who managed to carry on a conversation, loudly, about various people without realising some of us who could overhear knew some of the subjects of their gossip!)A very convenient location across the road from Milsons Point station - we will almost certainly return!

Drove 1 1/2 hours, waited 40 mins for table we had booked. No drinks offered while waiting. Plenty of free tables, so why did we wait so long. Food was dry and tasteless, salad limp and soaked in vinegar. Chips were cold. Waitress tried to take drinks that werent finished. Left hungry and dissappointed. The writeups on this place are false and obviously are written by family and friends cos you get better food and service in a pub for a third of the price than you get here. My advice, walk by and go somewhere else, dont waste your time or money here.

Been going to Garfish kirrabilli for many years. The whole family loves there snapper pie. We went on Saturday night and we all ordered snapper pie and really looking forward to it. It looked the same outside ,but inside the fish was rubbery and had a off fishy taste to it no flavour very disappointed. Service ok. But after many years of the restaurant been -one of my favourites to eat at we want be going back.

I recently organised a group booking of 30 at Garfish and it was a great success. From the start of my enquiry to the actual event, the staff at Garfish were easy and professional to deal with. The multi-choice menu was excellent value; the food delicious; and the service friendly and efficient. Collection of monies on the night for a large group was made easy by management. Sitting in a winter sun trap, my colleagues and I enjoyed the most delicious grilled Ling served with chips, lemon and tartare sauce. The fish was beautifully cooked and presented. We also shared an incredible beetroot, hazelnut and goats cheese salad.The food was faultless and memorable. The service was a little lax and on the slow side which detracted from an otherwise perfect dining experience.

Greeted by a very friendly waitress and looked after us perfectly all evening. She recommended the Snapper Pie which was delicious ! The side of brussel sprouts was very tasty although could have had more seasoning. I ordered the mixed oysters for my entree and my preferred on the plate was the natural oysters. The garnishes that came with them had intense flavours which I thoroughly enjoyed.

So much to choose from on the menu! We love coming here and have been coming here for years now. I agree with other reviewers that it's always reliable. The service is very friendly and efficient too. Look forward to coming back again.

We go for coffees to this place on a daily basis. On Saturday, Owen is the barista, he makes the smoothest coffee. Love it!
