We came here one lovely evening to eat dinner outside. It is not fancy but it was great for us because our dog was free to roam around there (it is fenced in). The food is bavarian/tyrolian and very good. I had marinated fish with a pink grapefruit dressing and the a Wiener Schnitzel. Both were excelent!!! For desert I ordered Sektsuppe mit Cassiseis, also very good (but not for children).My other companions had a sort of ravioli with spinage cheese filling and a tomato soup as a starter, she loved it. And the child had homemade pasta with a veal ragu sauce and also the tomato soup.We enjoyed our evening tremendously and will definitely come back.
We had dinner at the Alte Försterei and it was wonderful! The Chef knew how to prepare lamb with garlic crust to perfection as well as Wienerschnitzel in the classical style and a jausenteller (cold cuts of meat, leberwurst, pickles and cheese). All wonderfully prepared and beautifully presented.The Service was a delight,.made us feel welcome and were knowledgable about the Austrian wine and the alternative Krusovice Beer (one of my favourites).I will definitely go again next time I am anywhere near Potsdam.
The restaurant has the charm of Bavaria although it is located at Potsdam, next to Berlin. The choice of meals is not very wide, but the food is good and the service as well. This is a good alternative offer to the Gourmet restaurant of the hotel and at a much affordable price. Just have in mind, that it is not next to the hotel but at a 10 minutes walk or 2 minutes drive.

I come here with my girlfriend for saint valentine and was a real surprise !The cuisine is topic of the south of Germany but is in a really stylish and elegant way revisited !Good wine selections and really good personal. All delicious and contains price !!!Really good !NP

Wild boar killed by the chef - WOW! Super atmosphere, dined outdoors on a lovely night. My portion of schnitzel was so large, that even with help from my husband, a lot was left on the plate.
A quick family dinner and pleasantly surprised. Food delicious and service prompt and friendly. A little bit pricey but in line with quality.
