Have visited this restaurant many times over a period of about 30 years and have never been disappointed. The menu choice is excellent, with many of the fish dishes being sourced from the nearby Danube. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Service is good, though it has to be remembered that everything is cooked from scratch so there will be a bit of a wait, (if you want fast food go to McDonalds! . For those that cannot speak German they do have English menu. I would recommend the carp or the catfish, don't be put off if you haven't tried them before, they are both delicious. There are meat dishes available for anyone who doesn't like fish. These are good as well.
Restaurant is located nearby the visitor centre of National Park Donau-Auen and offers fair Austrian-Hungarian cuisine, including the freshwater fishes. It seems the place is highly visited by locals as well as by tourists. Sitting outside on the big terrace right next to pond with fishes and other water animals is pleasant but just in case there are no smokers around you. The overall service is adequate.
Back from a weekend in Vienna we decided to avoid the highway to go to the airport. After some nice country side landscapes we found the Gasthaus Binder: courtesy, very good food, hosted 10 people without reservation at a late time. Roasted onion beaf was very good as were the cakes. last but not least cost was ok and they accepted credit cards (one of the few places we found during this trip)
Next to the front door where every time someone comes in you get a blast of cold air! So your hot food does not stay hot for long, plus being at the entrance you are away from the music and entertainment, you don't feel a part of the festivities. Fish was very good, not exceptional. I won't eat here again in the winter because of the dining area for non smokers.
