Gasthaus Elsner - Reservar una mesa

A real neighbourhood place for the locals, and a gem for the visitor. Hearty, simple Austrian/Hungarian food cooked well, good portions and reasonable prices. Good beer, too. The owner is hospitable and accomodating to limited German (English). The interior is clean, well maintained and has a warm, old school look. Ventilation could be better but that could have been a one off I think they'd be better off if they left windows open or the entrance door ajar. Wholly recommended.

You have a decent menu to choose food, the food is delicious, the size of the portions are large, the prices are really good. The beer is also great.

It's beautiful! The scavenger is fresh and delicious! Love the salad. About 10 € including the tip. The owner is also very friendly:

The best place to eat in Viena if you really want to experience their food. We really enjoyed our food and will definitely be back.
