writing such an evaluation makes fun. we were in the black and ordered carvings with late zle and sauce yesterday.The carvings were thin with a perfect panade. the late and soaked from taste perfect. so I know this from my youth and that's how it must taste. When I was asked if I wanted another potato salad, I was overjoyed. such a good potato salad is very rare. my daughter was made happy to the dessert with foam. Thank you very much.
This place serves amazing quality local food, in an environment that is fine, if a little dated and perhaps even somewhat austere. Service is nice, but they may struggle with large, international groups like we were. The English menu does not contain everything the German menu does, so better use the German one. Better come in "normal" group sizes, less than 20, if you happen to be an international crowd.

a beautiful, traditional house with charm! furnished as it must be an old Swabian restaurant. original service, if the senior boss serves with very special Swabian foam, which you have to extra beg out! everything in all makes this gastronomy fun!

Homely feeling in this old style swabian inn. Classic food from the area, fantastic prepared and served. One of the oldest inns in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
