We have been staying in Wertheim Centre with 4 adults, 1st night we went to this restaurant upon arrival. We told waitress we hurried, but although we were still more than half an hour before last order, they already were acting very difficult. Appearantly one of those restaurants where everything else seems to be arrogantly regarded more important than servicing who's paying them: clients, you and we. And guess what: 3 of us ordered asparagus which were cooked much too shortly, they were still too hard, not good. We told the waitress, but they did not respond at all, no apologies, no compensatory coffee or discount for bad food. 4th meal was well cooked, but nothing special.
The restaurant was recommended to us a good local cuisine and one of the oldest restaurant in Wertheim. We had a nice seat in the back of the smallish, very quaint beer garden. If you go on the weekends, you should first make reservation.We ordered the standard fare, wurst, sauerkraut, homemade noodles, etc., all very very tasty but some a bit on the salty side. Now, had we been drinking mugs of beer, it would be perfect but as we don't drink, it was a bit on the heavy side.But for a nice evening out, sit in a nice garden drinking beers with friends and enjoying local foods, this is a good choice to make.
Musste zum Krankenhausaufenthalt meines Vaters nach Wertheim fahren bevor mir ins Krankenhaus gegangen sind waren wir zum Essen im goldene Adler der hat einen sehr guten Mittagstisch und hatte auch fränkische Leckereien die fränkische Pfanne mit Leberwurst und Sauerkraut mit Bratkartoffeln war sehr gut mein Vater Hat ein Rindersteak gegessen circa 300 g das sehr gut war . Alles im allem ein tolles Essen kann man nur weiter empfehlen
A good filling dinner in the beer garden on a hot July evening. You can access the beer garden via Friedleinsgasse just opposite the Altstadthotel Baunachshof where we stayed the night. Locale tipico molto accogliente, personale disponibile. Abbiamo optato per una bistecca di maiale impanata servita su un mare di salsa (forse troppa), ricoperta di funghi e con patate fritte a parte. Cena abbondante che ci ha fatto uscire dal locale sazi e contenti. Consiglio a chi ha tanta fame!
