Gasthaus zum Stockhammer

We are from Sweden, my wife and my two children. We visited the restaurant Stockhammer in the evening. We had a great experience. The meals were all delicious and really enough for a huge hunger. The waitress was very friendly and asked if we need something more and if we are satisfied or not. The bill allover was affordable and for what we got really ok. We will come back if we got to southern Germany oder Austria again.

We had both lunch and dinner at this place in our one day stay in Rosenheim. It's located in the heart of the pedestrian shopping area, and has a large outdoor seating area.The food was quite good. We tried the daily specials that turned out to very nice. Service is prompt, though we didn't feel rushed. This is probably one of the better places to eat in a provincial town that doesn't have a lot else to draw you to it.

Last night 28th September Had a most wonderful traditional bayrische dinner in max Joseph platz the main tourist area street in the old stadt rosenheimPork, dumplings, kraut, great-wine and bier, the menu offered so much more though,fantastic service in the most wonderful old Bavarian styled restaurant, reasonably priced for the location, English spoken, its want you want in Bavaria, traditional, at its best

I went to the restaurant because I was in town and because of the good reviews. I wasn't disappointed. The beer was tasty and the Ochsenbäckle were one of the best I ever tried. What I liked the most, however, were the extremely friendly waiters that instantly made me feel welcome and at home. I'll definitely return!

Popular with locals and tourists alike, Gasthaus zum Stockhammer is conveniently located in the town centre on Max-Josefs-Platz (the main pedestrian zone of the town). The staff are all lovely and very friendly and the food is cooked fresh and very tasty. Well worth a visit if you're in town!

Excellent service from very friendly staff. The food tasted fabulous and well balanced...no need for salt and pepper! The dining room was lovely decorated and the atmosphere was brilliant...looked very popular with the locals. Would definitely be back for more.

50 euros got me two main meals, a side, dessert and two drinks. The house platter was amazing and absolutely filling, the risotto and fish was delicious. Nothing much to say except this was one of my better visits to a restaurant thus far.

What else do you want? We sat outside and i had a very good pork scnitzel with great potatoe salad and finished off the night with apple strudel which was excellent. I would not hesitate to come back.

We were doing a bike tour around Rosenheim. The place is located right on the heart of the city. Good selection of Bavarian specialties. I enjoyed local fish with Primitivo. Apfelstrudel was great!

The service in this restaurant is excellent even during rush hours. It is located in the pedestrian zone with seating outside. A perfect place to have dinner on a warm summer evening.
