Gasthof Amish Village

It is a nice place to get away from the city, walk the grounds, have a big supper and just relax. Not a whole lot of Amish authenticity on site if that is what you are after, but you can drive to a number of small Amish family farms in the area. The buffet was substantial but the guy who called it one of the best in the country probably meant to say county. Many of the hot items were good but could have been warmer, but the homemade bread, apple butter and desserts were delicious. Accommodations are on the level of a Red Roof Inn in regards to cleanliness, atmosphere and value, but is a legit hotel with access from an indoor lobby. We don 't regret going at all, but it 's not really a place...

Food was mainly like any buffet restaurant, nothing extraordinary. Read sign that pie was $2.50 per slice but wasn't asked about wanting desert. Later learned we had to go to the bakery (located in another room) to get our pie. Also wasn't toldthere was an ice cream machine and cobbler in another area. We were really looking forward to shopping in the antique storesbut we're highly disappointed in the two in the village. Both had mainly junk, lots of small items, no furniture or anything ofquality. One had crafty items but again nothing of interest. Would not go back to eat. Would not go back to shop in thevillage. We would like to go again during one of the Chandelier Barn's seasonal events...

Food is good. Having been raised eating this type of cuisine, I'm a little biased, but its good. They even put out a couple local dishes you won't find elsewhere. Milk rice, etc... Yummy. Recommend.

One of the best buffets! Their peanut butter spread is amazing and can be purchased to take home as well ! Our waitress was so friendly and our drinks were never empty. Definitely recommend A+ Reserva una mesa ahora

This is a great place to eat. It's a buffet, with plenty of good food desserts. Staff are efficient friendly, it also has a gift shop. Give this place a try, it will not disappoint!

So peaceful here! The whole hotel was silent all night .And our view of the lake and the beautiful sunrise from our room. We will definitely be returning for more relaxation!!!

Got right in. Restaurant is in the right place for lunch with friends on the trip home. Will come again when I can stay longer.
