Gasthof Bodner - Reservar una mesa

The inn was one of our goals after we drove Schönau with the support of the RK app in search of further rewarding goals for our week. Following an inspiration, we reserved a table by phone in the afternoon, which proved to be useful as all tables were occupied when we arrived. Cosyly furnished, but atmospheric rather reminiscent of a hall, since the entire hall was hardly divided by partitions or decoration. A very nice, friendly service power, which was constantly on the axle, since it had to operate all tables alone (supported by the boss, but nevertheless: great performance! . So it is also to forgive that I had to explicitly ask for the pumpkin soup, which was praised outside on a table...

We have been going to the Gasthof Bodner over the last years and for good reason. It is located in Schoenau and is just a minute drive from the center of Berchtesgaden. Over that time they have maintained a high standard of meals...and service, and always greet you like one of their regulars. Last night we enjoyed an excellent meal of Saurbraten and another of Pork Medallions. Both were excellent in both flavor and presentation, but be warned...you had better be hungry because the portions are traditional German, big! Beautiful and cozy guest house in Schönau with very nice staff. We were on the way around lunchtime, and then we came here. Even if the order was accepted, the very nice service was positive, that is not the case in any inn. The complex is also as you imagine in a cozy inn in Bavaria. For serving I can only say: Great! Here there are really good and tasteful home kitchen, namely quality in the upper level. The sections are also quite large. For example, at order Strammen Max was a lot of ham on the bread and above were 3 in words three!!! Mirror eggs!!! I've never seen that before, and the quality was lonely. I have to recommend this place. Oh, and here, of course, there is a very good value...

Very good food and a nice atmosphere. However, check your bill before paying. We discovered we had € extra on our bill for a soda and a cocktail we never ordered. Unfortunatelly, we only saw this after we got to the hotel and the...place was already closed. Also, the kitchen closes at and they were gathering/cleaning everything by p.m., so the opening hours on TripAdvisor are not helpful/correct.

Staying in a rental apt. , we enjoyed dinner here every night for weeks. Wonderful german specialties. The place is very busy at times and service not as attentive as we would have liked. The restaurant is located at the bus stop which makes...it convenient for guest without cars.

I had no booking so I had to sit in the bar. No problem with that. Problem is that service was not good, as I suppose they were too busy. Food, was ok only because I was hungry. Sauce had a light taste as when...it burns in the saucepan. Maybe I was wrong with what I ordered

I can say only good words about this location . I came here for lunch with my family and we eat very good food and correct price in a fantastic atmosphere . Congratulation for all team who work here !!!

Great basic German food. Schnitzel, spaetzle and red cabbage is delicious! The servers were very kind and the prices reasonable.

Varied menu, very pleasant staff and excellent food. Would recommend. You may need to book in high season.
