A detailed menu offers good allgäu specialties such as crust roasts or Allgäuer Kässpatzen, grandmother Mostküchle according to old family recipe, but also seasonal dishes from the region. There is a weekly menu with cheap food. It is particularly beautiful in the summer months in the shaded beer garden under old chestnut trees, with a lively bread time and a real amount of beer. As a former tavern economy already mentioned in 1519, the inn was rebuilt in 1831 in its current form in Biedermeier style. In the seventh generation, the Martin family now takes care of the physical welfare of the guests.
Nice place as we came here in Oberbeuren, reaching farther from the old Kaufbeuren center we stopped here for some food in between short trips. Our host from Neugablonz went opposite to explore their restaurants there. So we were brought here for a nice sumptuous...meal. That was good for an early dinner and we're not mistaken coming here.
