before visiting the nearby museum Liaunig, we decided to have a family friend for lunch. she warned us that the interieur was nothing to write home, but the weather was anyway beautiful and we have a nice table. in the garden with view of the church. service was friendly and eating came quite fast. since the regional speciality is all with spelling hadn in cärnten dialect), both my mother and I tried some hadnspezialists, their salate with fried hadn patents was very tasty, although they found that a kind of sauce would not have been a bad idea. I went for the hadn pasta, which was quite original both in taste a bit reminded of poppy in look and granular texture) and presentation, but I found the taste a bit bland. in all fairness, I asked without paging that it should be paired and they would not have given a salty, hearty kick in the otherwise somewhat neutrally tasting pasta. the prices are decent, the hadn noodles were just under 10 eur) and the mixed byalates were also better than expected. the menu is rather small but with predominantly regional cuisine. would recommend and return if in the opposite. I was intrigued by the bookwheat cake, but was too full to try. next time!
