What a wonderful experience, from the moment we stepped on the terrace! We were greeted by the chef himself and sat in a lovely spot out front. As the menu was in German, we told Chef Ernst we trusted him and he made wonderful selections for us all. The seafood soup was divine and my four children said the weinerschnitzel was the best they'd had in all of northern Italy and Austria (perfectly breaded, very light and tasty). Others in our group had the venison delicious, as was the local berry compote served with it....Chef's wine recommendations were wonderful, as well ... we went back for dinner the next night, that's how good ... Don't miss this delightful spot.

This was one of the best restaurants I've been to in germany/Austria. The chef waited on us himself and clearly took great pride in his food and restaurant. The place was so beautiful and cozy. The food was incredible and beautifully presented. The beer was wonderful. It was overall an amazing experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the salzburg region. Absolutely wonderful!

So I have to start with the fact that we got the VIP treatment because we went with a family friend of the owner. But this place was exquisite! We got to try a little bit of everything and had about 8 dishes. Everything was great and I would highly recommend this place if you are any where near it. Make the drive, take the time and enjoy yourself!

Top service, very nice atmosphere and really good food! We enjoyed our stay from the beginning of our stay starting with a very warm welcome! Service was really good and the food was of good quality, as well well we enjoyed the good advice for sightseeing and things to do around the region!

Food and staff where great. We are from the united states and the owner made great Austrian recommendations to try at there restraunt.
