Visited this place previously and it was as the review in November shows. Booked in German via E Mail for my 65th birthday and was joined by friends. First problem was no acknowledgement of the booking. Had to get the hotel receptionist to contact the...restaurant to sort this out. A simple reply would have avoided this. Table was set up when we arrived, but ordering was impaired by the fact that a large function was being held at the same time. Food was good but ordered as before an Irish coffee to finish the meal but they had no cream and then asked for a Cointreau and they didn't have that either. In Munich and decided to catch the S6 train to Starnberg. As it was the first week in November a lot of Starnberg was closed. So we wandered into this restaurant and boy was it good. I think it had a Croatian influence as the...menu was not a typical German menu. Service was quick and waiters were very pleasant and helpful. After a soup starter my wife had Beef Stroganoff and I had the Calf's liver in Sherry sauce, a dish which sounds simple but isn't. The liver melted in your mouth. So 2 starters, 2 mains, large salad, 2 large beers and a large white wine just €55, great value. Back there at the start of May.
came here twice. once for drinking and once for dinner. beautiful ambiente in the beer garden and I didn't go in. Make sure they come to dinner early enough to get the complete menu! I had the grill plate and it was good. but the content was predictable. they won't hurry to kick you around 10 o'clock when they close you.
my man and I found this beer garden by chance. we had a late lunch with our dog in the big garden with lots of shade I had a pretty good mixed salad with goat cheese and black olives and my man had tagliatelle with. we could read our time a little and simply enjoy the afternoon. would definitely go back!

This Gasthof is in the best Bavarian tradition. I stayed in hotel Vier Jahreszeiten and it is a very small walk of a few hundred meters. The food was really good. They originally brewed their own beer but it now serves Paulaner Beer. Very friendly...staff. They do not accept non-German Maestro cards.
We stayed nearby and had lunch here the first day in Germany. The beer and pretzels were excellent. Had the beef and dumplings and the portions were large. than enough to eat for lunch. The atmosphere was what we were looking for. The schnitzel...was also very good.
This is one of the old and typical restaurants. Decent food (don't expect 5 Star) and good beer. The crowd is mixed. Locals and young people that moved to Munich. It can be VERY VERY crowded at times. So when you plan to eat make...sure to reserve a table.
After a long day of traveling we found this typical Bavarian restaurant. Fully packed but with luck we managed to find a table for two. Very good charcuterie, nice soups a l'onion and perfect veal fillet. Reasonable price good service. Bob appetite

Been there and totally positively surprised. The food and the service were super 6 out of 5 stars. The portion has been quite large and very good in taste. price/performance super. The ambience is clocky and very pleasant. Everything's great.
