According to the internet, they have the best Schäufele in Franconia. I tested that and I have to say... I've never had such a consistently good crust on a Schäufele as here. Crispy and fluffy, well seasoned. The meat with good taste fell off the bone well, as it should. The sauce was unusually light beige and glassy, but with a good taste that went very well with the meat and the dumplings. The sauerkraut is very sweet but also tasty. Ein Schäuferle zum Niederknien. Sehr günstige Preise. Bedienung auch super freundlich, so wie die allermeisten Oberfranken, die wir kennengelernt haben. Wir kommen als Oberbayern immer wieder gerne in dieses gesegnete Land. A shovel to kneel down. Very cheap prices. Very nice Franconian restaurant with long family tradition. Super friendly staff. We had previously reserved by phone, otherwise it will probably be bad with place. We had a table reserved and were asked to sit on another table while we ate so that the senior manager can cover up for a celebration. We had reservations and were in the middle of food.
