Gasthof Kampenwand

We came to Aschau because it was the local clinic, one of the best places for the treatment of the small medical question my son had. Every time we visited, we both stayed at Gasthof Kampenwand and it was so good every time that we don't even look for another place. We always get a spacious family room and can go downstairs and get fantastic German food for a great price. It also led me into the first, but from Spaetzle I enjoyed since I moved to Germany nine years ago. Highlights include the carving evening and the seasonal Weis beer Tiramisu. All right!

This was the closest restaurant to my hotel and I am glad I went. It is exactly what you would expect as far as the food, drink and atmosphere are concerned. The waitresses are dressed in traditional clothing. The default beer is from a brewery founded in 1587 (not a typo! and the food is truly Bavarian. I was lucky enough to go on a Sunday night and had one of the specials which are only served on Sundays holidays. If you're in the area then go and visit.

Came for a dinner. Rest from the season, mid-week evening. Orders fresh white asparagus with zander-fish fillet and cooked potatoes. And a beer. Recommended by Kellnerin quite local Wochinger. And... the best camp of my life!!! I had to go to the beverage shop in Aschau the next day to get bottles!!! Can't complain about prices, complete and happy!

The resturant in the hotel is excellent. We eat very well as the service. Our waitress Leah was very helpful and accommodating. The food is something from the ordinary. Nicely presented. The salad was beautifully dressed with a good balance of ingredients. We sat here 4 times and they can't do enough for you.

We were here for a late lunch at a stop. The kitchen was amazing and we enjoyed the stay absolutely. Warmly recommended.
