Gasthof OberbrÄu

We eat there as a couple friday night. We did order a mixed salad, the fish and a cordon bleu. Our experience in total was good (4-4.5/5). Service was very fast and also friendly. The salad, fresh with a tasty oil/vinegar-dressing. Fish with potatoes and a nice creamy sauce also good. To the cordon bleu i was expecting some melted cheese inside. However i didnt find any. But i dont know if the chef just used another recipe or if they forgot. But also without cheese, the cordon bleu was tasty at end. We would come again and we can recommend this place for a normal, traditional eat out.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a lovely dinner at this Gasthof's restaurant. The service was friendly and food was really very good. Nice hearty and homely cooking. The Kaiserschmarrn that we shared for dessert was one of the best I'd had in Austria. Located in a beautiful building in the middle of Hopfgarten.

We have been coming to this area for quite some years but hadn't visited Oberbrau. To bad because the schnitzel is the best we had so far. Nice place with friendly and helpful personnel. Some music would help further improve the atmosphere.

Our accommodation host recommended this and booked a table for us to try the Pork Knuckle. It was incredible! I recommend planning ahead and booking a table a few days in advance as it gets busy.

Just fantastic! We had an amazing time at Oberbrau. If you have 1 evening you want to go out for dinner in Hopfgarten, then make sure not to miss the pork knuckle at Oberbrau.
