Where was the Christmas market? Anyone who knows the Christmas market in Wittmar an der Asse knows what it was actually like! What was there last weekend (December 9th December 10th, 2023) was not a Christmas market, but a sales event in a hall that was far too brightly lit. A Christmas market belongs outside with a beautiful Christmas atmosphere. It was dreary, no attractive decorations, the lights on the Christmas tree were simply thrown over it without any other tree decorations. Nothing for children, no Santa Claus to hand out a little something or read a story (nobody needs a bouncy castle)!!! It's questionable if the villagers don't want to stay there much longer. Nice excursion restaurant in the Asse. There are delicious cakes and a small but fine menu. The Georgian Katchapuri are recommended. Very tasty and authentic as the chef is Georgian. Service was also great, very friendly and on the ball. Price/performance is okay.
