This little historical place is far off the tourist area but it would be worth the hunt. Some friends and I traveled to this little spot to try its more heralded item schnitzel. I had the Pfefferrahmschnitzel schnitzel in a peppered brown sauce. The food was divine and to have such a meal with friends in a historical spot (since 1886) made for one of the best meals I had while in Germany. I come to this town often and for the longest, this wonderful spot escaped me but from here on out, it will be the only place I visit for classical German food.
Insgesamt gute, regionale Küche, eher altbackenes Ambiente mit Stil. Ansonsten ein Geheimtipp der Ureinwohner! Preise angemessen. Wie gesagt, nicht vom „besonderen Charme“ der Äußerlichkeiten und dem unsauberen Zustand abschrecken lassen.
We had a dinner in this place. The environment is very good and the service, perfect. The food is tasty and well done. The price is very good. We spent € 55,00 in four people, drinking wine of the house, soda and water.

Der Gasthof ist gemütlich und das Essen dem Preis angemessen. Es ist durchaus essbar, allerdings kein Genuss. Dafür aber bezahlbar und von freundlicher und aufmerksamer Bedienung serviert.
Rheingauer Kultkneipe. Familiary atmosphere, delicious food, fresh andech beer. Nix for tourists there are the locals among themselves and feel comfortable.

You feel put into another time, a space of the seventies. Delicious food and good beer. I always like to be there.
