if you think of a German wine room, you think best of a place like a black amsel: cozy, traditional, with good but unpretentious eating (we loved the flaky cake here) and a good choice of local weeping, all served with good laune and ease. our large group sat on a beautiful round table and enjoyed the atmosphere and our fellow drinkers. the place closes a bit early (again 22:30 a.m.), but then speyer is a rather sleepy city.

my friend and I always return to this restaurant when he visits him. andech's dark beer from the hustle as appetizer, followed by carving for him and bratwurst with sourd for me. we exchange a carving for a bratwurst. the meat is super from the neighboring metzger. I highly recommend it.

we drank a glass nue wine and spent a great evening meal. our waitress alison was great and led us through the menu. great atmosphere and against the end of dinner informed us guests of a big table next to us about speyer? . simply a jewel!

we have eaten here on a busy Saturday at lunchtime. we had bratwurst and bratkartoffeln, who were excellent. beautiful furnishings, wonderful attentive staff and great ambiente. seems to be popular with the natives who were very friendly.
