Gateway - Reservar una mesa

My wife and I have eaten here for the last 3 years or so, and this is THE best place for breakfast in Daytona. It has been there 82 years. The bacon, eggs, grits, and coffee are VERY, VERY good, and priced very low. It is run by an older, genteel Greek couple, and we love our waitress, Barbie, who is very helpful and gregarious. She says that when she was 12 years old in Tampa, she used to jump alligators with her bicycle! Compared to the other Daytona packed, loud, and expensive breakfast places, the Gateway is very quiet, and most customers are older tourists and older local people and some young people. Yes, the tables and chairs are old and old style, BUT, to me, that just adds to the charm of the restaurant!

Great prices. This place has been here a long time. The original owners are still there. Looks like they're in their 80s. One of the waiters is always happy and singing. If you like to go to family owners classic diners, you will love this place.

Awesome little historic spot I love all the Vintage Restaurant stuff there I definitely recommend really low price point bring cash it's easier on them little card machine is wacky:

Great mom and pop breakfast/lunch diner! Smaller menu than the bigger places but, the quality and service is top notch! Reasonable prices too!
