Nestled uncharmingly behind a gas station just off the road from Madrid to the Escorial, the exterior is unassuming. But don’t let the looks fool you; the food is great. The service is efficient and friendly. They start you off with a free sausage hor d’oeuvres. We ordered a cold bottle of white Rueda wine, which paired nicely with the seafood and fish we ordered. For the first course, I had the special of the day, verdinas con codorniz, a type of small, tender bean with quail. Delicious. For the second course, I had chipirones, a small squid, sautéed in a wine sauce with onions. The onions were actually fried to a crisp, separately. The dish was quite good. For desert, I had a homemade cuajada, a sort of light cheese pudding-like curd, with honey. Quite the feast! The price, moderate.

We were staying at a hotel nearby and the restaurant was at walking distance so we went in there. What a surprise! From the decor to the service and obviously the food, we enjoyed everything. Waiter recommended a red wine from Alicante for 3$ a glass and it was spectacular. I had the gambas à la plancha and we tried several different meal...everything delish! Octopus, fish soup, calamaries and the salad portion enormous! Not to mention the cheese ice-cream (more like yogurt) In a nutshell fantastic!

Don't judge the book by the cover. The food is excellent and the customer service outstanding. The price is fair for the quality you get and they have some private saloons for meetings with customers or team buildings

This is a restaurant behind a gas station! But not what you might expect! Fantastic, authentic Spanish food (attested to by my wife's Spanish family). Definitely worth the stop!!

Went there for lunch. Very good food and service. The menu offered a good selection of typical Spanish fare. Accessible from the highway and ample parking.
