Geláre offers all natural ice cream and also offers a range of vegan coconut-based ice creams. I liked the look of the green tea ice cream and had a taste. I was told this was vegan and was pleasantly surprised at how creamy it was so I decided to get this one in a cup. It did taste sweeter than other green tea ice cream I've had before so I'm not sure about the sugar content but at least I felt guilt free for a while and it did taste good. My eating partners enjoyed their chocolate ice creams but the cones fell apart near the bottom.
Dropped in here on a whim and it was pretty disappointing.
Mrs Kan Do ordered the Jamaican chocolate and I had a pistachio - both with waffle cone. The pistachio tasted like almond essence. It's only redeeming feature was the pistachios in it.
The Jamaican chocolate was better, but still not great.
The cones were sweet and crumbly - not very good.
The girls at the counter were friendly and courteous.

Popped into Gelare for an ice cream on a very hot day.
I ordered a Cookies and Cream on a homemade waffle cone. The first bite of ice cream was quite pleasant, but the combination of the Cookies and Cream and Waffle Cone was not great. It didn't help that there were traces of other flavors mixed in my ice cream (virtually every ice cream was streaked with brown or other colors as the result of an unclean ice cream scoop). Ate the ice cream, but tossed the cone.
Absolutely delicious! This is the best waffle I've ever had! We ordered the Lotus Biscoff croffle, the Ferrero Rocher waffle, an iced black coffee, and a cookies and cream frappe. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend this place!

The ice cream so creamy and thick the waffles were huge and no a stingy small make they didn't hold back on the toppings oooooohhhh LAWD i was in heaven! Definitely recommending this place and coming back
The restaurant, being located in South Bank, has a great atmosphere. The desserts are well priced, well presented and well made. Really enjoyed all the desserts we tried and will definitely go back!
Freshly made waffles with ice cream hit the spot mid-stroll through South Bank. Not a wide variety of flavors, but the mango and chocolate were quite good.
Ice cream is good (3.5/5) however iced mocha ordered was unfortunately terrible.. very diluted... left feeling dissapointed after paying $6...

This place has two things that I happen to like: one, a really good (and really thick) mint flavored frozen dessert.
Favourite dessert place in South Bank! I love the variety of pancakes and waffles there.
