In general, I have a hard time finding fault with German food. We got in late Sunday afternoon and it looked like nothing was open. However, we happened to pull the door handle here and voila! It looked like a large family gathering (everyone knew each other, no one spoke English, but they welcomed us anyway). IT was off season and had started to ice and snow. We pulled out our little translator book and butchered the German language as best we could. Our gracious waitress taught us how to say several new words correctly. The menus were German only. De sfeer in het restaurant is gemoedelijk en de bediening heel vriendelijk. We hebben heerlijk gegeten. Geen fratsen maar gewoon een heerlijke Schnitzel zoals wij hem in Duitsland graag eten. Ook de steaks zijn voortreffelijk. Groente erbij en een grote schaal lekkere frites, helemaal goed. Na afloop een cappuccino met slagroom en vol gegeten weer op huis aan. Komen bij ons volgende bezoek aan dit gebied weer langs!

Monday to late dinner. Fortunately, they kept it open for us for another dinner party. The service was great, food came fast, beer even faster, with some good tap options. We had the table top that was excellent, one of the best I've ever tried. The restaurant looks old school German but it works great in Adenau. If you want to try local authentic food with great hosts and service, this is the place to go to Adenau.

Wir waren aufgrund des 90jährigen Bestehen vom Nürburgring vor Ort. Sitzplatz reservieren ist bei solch einem Event empfehlenswert. Sehr freundliches Personal, eine telefonische kurzfristige Änderung der Ankunftszeit stellte keine Probleme dar.Ein wenig mussten wir auf unsere Rechnung warten, da es sehr voll war. We were a party of 10 people and stopped for a lunch on Saturday on our way to the Ring. It was a fantastic choice. The service first of all was outstanding. The waitress was friendly, helpful and happy to assist with everything. They served as a delicious soup free of charge!!! The food was very good, they have excellent beers and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely a must.

Had steak here two nights in a row, was cooked beautifully, spot on rare and very reasonably priced. The staff are lovely and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Would certainly recommend this place. Thanks for looking after us!!:) Claire and Terry.

been going to this restaurant for 6 years now, superb food, great staff, family run restaurant, always a great night, you wont find better in Adenau, brilliant hosts

One of the finest fish I have eaten. Owner cooks with love and passion. Must have a meal here if your in the region.

Really good food. The scavenger is very good, perfect fries! Excellent service, a really pleasant experience.
