Very dissatisfied? The food was meh. In addition, the place is very dirty. In my experience it felt like the AC didn't work, and the ventilation was not existent. The waiting times to sit and eat are ridiculous. If you sit down, you probably want to eat somewhere else. Service was not as good as possible? ve was because it is obvious that managers rework their employees. The servers are constantly running around, fighting to serve every table while it seems as if the managers only observe them. With what is said there was a big manager with a button down and a chain, standing around with his earpiece and telling all workers what to do. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I waited for over 30 minutes for my order, and then my second order wasn't even entered by the server. I had to check back with her, and when I did, she just told me, "I didn’t get your order," without apologizing or offering any assistance. After another 10 minutes of waiting, she mentioned that the Wi-Fi was down and that my order couldn't be sent to the kitchen. To make matters worse, she said it wasn't her fault. What a frustrating experience! This will definitely be my first and last visit. There was a lack of professionalism and attitude.
Wanted a booth. They didn't provide saying they have to give it to clients who are coming late. We asked if they were reserved? They said no, and they can't provide a booth. We came at 2.15pm and asked us to wait 15 minutes although the place was empty. Staff was unfriendly and didn't provide a booth. They are with a very bad attitude. Didn't come begging for food. It's paid to eat. None customer centric management.No free wifi provided and signal inside the bbq for the online menu. Asked us to take a screenshot of the screen. The food was ok.
We absolutely love this place! My husband and I hadn't visited since the pandemic, and we're thrilled to find it's still around. The food is undeniably delicious! The only downside is trying not to overeat because it's so good! The customer service was excellent from start to finish. While it's clear that many restaurants are operating with minimal staff these days, both team members on the floor did an outstanding job. I truly appreciate the wonderful service and, of course, the amazing food! Thank you, Chino Hills GEN Team!

I went with a group of eight without a reservation, and we were seated quickly, which was great. The first hour was excellent, and we received all the food we ordered. However, during the second half of our meal, we received only about one plate for every four people. It took three conversations with the server to finally get a pitcher of water for the table. Despite the service issues, the food was amazing, and the barbecue was cooked to perfection. I would definitely return.
Normally when I go to different GEN BBQ places the service is just Par and the food takes a while to come out. But this branch in Chino Hills the staff are super friendly and caters to your needs in the quickness. Although your limited to 4 meats at a time, they come out fast and you can order again right away. Also the meat is fresh and when cooked correctly it’s super delicious! I highly recommend this location, thank you so much for having us.
I visited Gen in Chino Hills to celebrate a birthday, and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had! It took about 10 minutes to get my grill changed. When the meats were brought to our table, they were the wrong ones. I tried to talk to the manager, but he didn’t check on us or take any steps to make our visit better. Food rating: 1/5.
Honestly, this is my favorite Korean BBQ spot! Be sure to ask for Tyler—he's truly the best server here! We've also received great service from Jesus at the bar tables; he’s amazing too! Every time we come, we get excellent service. It's impressive how well these staff members remember everything. So be sure to ask for Tyler!
