We have been looking for a relaxing, upscale, adult dining experience since moving to OH 15 yrs. ago, and were pleased that Genuwine's offered that. We had our first dining experience there last night and, starting with the ambiance, were not disappointed in any way. We were told up front by staff that if we had a limited time schedule to please let them know, as this is a much slower dining environment. Food was delicious and well prepared. Very nice presentation on the zucchini appetizer. Salads gave a hint of all ingredients with not one ingredient overpowering another. Entree portions were plentiful. What a fantastic dining experience! This place has some very nice aspects of dining that seems hard to find elsewhere. It was high quality food with a very personal touch. It all started out with this delicious sorbet coming out on a liquid nitrogen bowl! I ordered Caesar salad, shrimp scampi, and a flowerless chocolate cake for dessert. Delicious. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and provided a pleasant place for a date with my wife. We also got to meet the owner. This is truly a family owned business, and it was neat to eat at a place where they treated us like family. It was well worth the drive past all the restaurant chains in Polaris.
There are so many restaurants in Pickerington whenever we think we'll try them all we can find! Genuwine was a very beautiful find, they have a wide selection of all European beer bottles I like, and my Butternut Squash Ravioli tasted best with Aubergine. They did not bring bread to our table (but asked if we want), but they gave us a kind of shaved ice cream with pineapples and mango habanero flavor that we found interesting. Preparing the foods would have taken so much longer than most chain places, but they assured us that everything was prepared by scratches cannot complain.
Everything was great. Food and service were both exceptional. The place has a very nice atmosphere and small extras makes it even more pleasant. Things like sparkling water, instead of tapping, Italian ice aperitif, and hot towels that magically rise. You have a great wine list and most are available through the glass or bottle. We went to my birthday, so they gave me free dessert.
