Certainly not what you expect when you initially walk in. Very much a standard British pub on first glance, the business also runs as a Thai restaurant a very good one at that! Our waitress was polite and friendly, smiling the whole time during our meal. We chose off the set menu, which was effectively two courses with the choice to increase the portion of the starter, which we both did. It was a platter, the pick of the items being the Tempura Prawns for me (cracking dips to go with them). For the main course, I chose the Katsu Curry and Sticky Rice. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years. It is a very small part of the pub covering the Thai food element. Always busy. We always book ahead and I always have a green curry extra spicy and a pad Thai- meaning I take some home and have a delicious breakfast the next day. I am just about to order a take away-lovely food. Tip for customers-book before you come. Tip for the restaurant-prawn crackers are so delicious and very very cheap. Some of these to welcome guests would make all the difference. Thank you for the amazing food!
The best value meal in Buckinghamshire. Food authentic and delicious and the lunch , early bird and mid week offers are incredible value. No fillers just natural coconut based sauce and lovely buzzing atmosphere. The teeny team of waiting staff are super efficient and work really hard to feed the many punters. All I can say to the person giving this a bad review is that she appears to only like chain pubs and restaurants where things are bought in. Also most of those places don’t offer service you pay at the bar!!!.
Interiors are nice and Staff are friendly however one staff member (presumably the owner) was walking around coughing everywhere. Food was hugely overpriced and very underwhelming and poor (but seems arranged by a separate company). Ordered veggie burgers which were extremely basic and prison-esque for the price. Came in to watch the football after exploring chiltern hills and they put a Christmas film on midway through the game to accomodate a booking, very strange.

We were in Wendover for our son’s graduation from the RAF. This place was recommended to us by RAF personnel. We called in at 7pm but they were fully booked. The owner came over and said a table was booked for 8pm, so as long as we are and we’re away by then we could have that table. We were so grateful as we’d had a long day and were cold and wet. We ordered our food and it was beautiful…piping hot and delicious and also reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!
The set lunch menu is £10 for two courses which is amazing value! My friend and I had the veg samosas were delicious and the peanut sauce was to die for. I asked for veg in sweet and sour as I am a veggie and it was no trouble. Great service. Will be back!
The pub is located at the centre of Wendover. It’s an old building maintained in good condition with two rooms, one for dining and the main area who customers can watch the games on telly. The food was basic and nice, with very reasonable prices.
Have eaten here for many years now and even though have moved quite a distance away still make the journey back as often as possible because the food is that good
