Stopped off for a quick dinner on the way home from visiting friend on bank holiday Monday. Have used the George and Dragon many times and always had good food and good service. Tonight however was a totally. different experience! They seemed to be incredibly short staffed. When our food arrived if was warm at best. My daughter and husband ordered dirty burgers which arrived without bacon or pickles. My other daughter had what I can only say appeared to be some else’s chips broken and re-fried. We ate what we could but left much of the food. I discreetly spoke to a male member of staff rather than cause a fuss. He said he would speak to the manager but never came back to me. Went for lunch on a sunny midday afternoon. Lots of outdoor seating although our table was sticky. Ordered 1 pizza, 1 prime burger, and 2 alcoholic drinks which came to £48. Food tasted fine, presentation a bit lacklustre. Service by the waitress who bought the food out left a lot to be desired. Confirmed who was having the burger then put both plates down and walked off. Didn't check if we wanted any condiments or offered any pleasantries. Wouldn't return all things considered.

We had a wonderful afternoon at the George and Dragon in Mountnessing. The roasts, starters, and desserts were all delicious. We received friendly service from our waitress Keira, who was a pleasure to meet. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant and we will definitely be returning soon. The pictures show Chipotle Chicken, Roast Pork Belly, Cauliflower Cheese, Trio of Roasts, Apple and Damson Crumble, and Sticky Toffee Pudding with honeycomb ice cream.

What is going on at this pub restaurant, poor service, never enough staff, no one to clear tables from previous drinkers, people having to clear tables of empty glasses and food plates, it’s a nice pub which we like to go to but just so badly run. Reserva una mesa ahora

The restaurant had both terrible service and food. A group of 9 of us waited over 20 minutes for our food to arrive, and two of our meals never showed up. We ended up getting a refund and leaving, and we definitely will not be returning.

I had a wonderful dining experience tonight at the George and Dragon. I must give a shoutout to our waitress Kiera, who provided excellent service with a warm smile throughout the evening.

Amazing experience overall, tasty food, cold beer and friendly team! Will be back soon for a weekend venture rather than a weekday pit stop.
