George Martin The Original

I’ve always loved going to George Martin in Rockville Center, but my last visit two weeks ago was horrible. Spent $300 for a dinner with a friend and our steaks were just absolutely terrible. Given the prices that they charge, I was expecting prime, aged beef, and my steak was like chewing on a shoe. It was the same for my friend as well. I will really think twice about going back to this restaurant. I would never want to spend $300 again to feel like I ate one of my leather shoes for dinner. I don’t know why the quality is suffering with this restaurant lately, but I do not recommend going there.

For whatever reason, we haven't been to the restaurant in many years. I am glad we dined here Friday. Very friendly bar scene. Nice ambiance in the dining room — a little on the loud side but not too over the top. We enjoyed our meals. Well prepared and presented. We were not rushed which is a nice change for restaurants these days. Service was good. I think she was a little overwhelmed but others kicked in and it was fine. We will be back. Very much enjoyed.

We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant thanks to our server Mara. I ordered the steak special flatiron with French fries and dessert for only $40, which was a great deal. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the excellent burger. We also appreciated that they offer certain wines on special for $30 during the week.

George Martin is our go to for special dinners and they didn 't disappoint! The special that night was a full rack of ribs w/ fries and a watermelon feta salad. The ribs were amazingly tender and so much!! We all ended up taking home the leftovers and they tasted great again at home! Reserva una mesa ahora

Food and service was exceptionally good as always. I had requested a table in a particular section of the restaurant and they were able to accommodate. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant, as were the rest of the staff, altogether making it an overall successful experience

Waitstaff is pleasant and attentive. They offer a good selection of wine for a special weekday price. Not sure how long their Anniversary prix fix menu will be offered but it was a great deal on an excellent meal. Of course, I have always enjoyed my meals at this restaurant.

My brother passed sway in October. It was their anniversary so we wanted to be together. It was a lovely evening. The waitress was very sweet and took care of everything. The food was delicious

We were disappointed in George Martin. While the food was good, the service was really inattentive. The waiter was indifferent and didn't even try to be friendly. We won't be returning. Reserva una mesa ahora

I attended a bridal shower at this restaurant and was impressed with the delicious food and friendly staff. The neighborhood is also very charming.

We had a great time at the restaurant, it had probably been 20 years since we last visited. We were glad we decided to go back.
