We had a lovely dining experience on a Friday night. We were the only dine-ins. There was a few take - aways moving out the door.We found the service to be friendly and attentive.Food we ordered was a seafood pasta which was a generous serving, the spaghetti bolognese which was delicious and a Mexican pizza. The pizza base was just right, thin enough and soft and crunchy in all, the right places. The owners bar tending experience is minimal which he apologised for, but we didn't worry what receptacle our pre-dinner aperitif arrived in. Ordered 6 take away pizzas for a family mid week get together.... worst pizzas ever. Totally not editable.. Burnt, dry pizzas.... McCains oven pizza would have been tastier and better presented.We did not eat the pizzas as we were concerned about getting sick... I called the shop to let them know of out terrible experience as I wouldn't want another customer to experience the humility I had. The lady on the phone was so rude and asked why I didn't take the pizzas back for a replacement. I did confirm I was happy to drop off 4/6 untouched boxes of pizza..Her attitude was as disgusting az the pizzas. Therefore TripAdvisors... be very aware of this place!!!!!!!
The spaghetti bolognese looked bland and lacked colour, but tasted great. Garlic bread was too thick made using Vienna bread, for a restaurant I expected at least sour dough. Pizza base was hard to bite, too crunchy on the edges and chewy in the centre, but the topping (vegetarian pizza with chilli and anchovies) was delicious. The young lady serving us was very polite. We were the first customers in the door for dinner yet the couple who arrived after us as well as a takeaway order got their food before us.... not good!
Absolutely wonderful! Had a great experience here from the very second I made my booking! Really fantastic service, very prompt and always checking we were okay and happy. The gorgeous waitress Jennifer remembered my name from when I booked and her service and energy the whole night was amazing. They way she served us I thought she was the owner now that is an asset to your business. The food was amazing not a single thing to fault! Will definitely be coming back will recommend to to my friends.

Considering there are some great eateries in the Bankstown centre, this pizza place did not live up to expectations. Reasonably priced though. The bruschetta was burnt, however the salad was fresh and crispy and the garlic/herb pizza was good. The service was excellent and they even let us split the bill 3 ways.Overall Its ok if you are in bass hill and want to eat at an inexpensive place but I'd give it a miss the next time and try the great eateries in bankstown.
Work colleague recommend this place for a pizza so I gave it a go I had the Italian sausage from the gourmet selection I couldn't see Italian sausage like most pizza places I had been to. It was cut more like salami. Putting that aside the overall flavor was good and I quite enjoyed it. Would definitely pickup a pizza on the way home again.
The restaurant has a new name and new management, and the food is even better than before. We tried pizzas, pastas, and sides, all of which were delicious. Even my picky kids enjoyed their meals. This is now our favorite Italian restaurant.
I love going to Il Sapore- willing to travel over 30 minutes for some of the best pizza, pasta and Italian dishes we've ever had. They don't take shortcuts here- the food is always fresh, the cocktails are great, and the staff is fantastic!
