George's Senate Coney Island

I was talking to my best friend about another old friend of ours who owns a restaurant chain, explaining that I hadn 't seen him for years now. My friend said that he had ran into his son and found out that he had opened a restaurant up in Northville Michigan. So we Googled it and made the trip. It was Wonderful!!! We got to see our old friend, George (the owner) and love his place which is right on the golf course that he also owns. The atmosphere is wonderful and it also has a full Bar and a huge Fireplace inside the restaurant. There is also outdoor seating when the weather is warmer. It turns out that he has owned the place for 20 years now (I said we hadn 't seen him for some time. Lol)...

We love the restaurant however had breakfast for the first time. Disappointed, everything was flavorless. No butter flavor on anything, oil was used. Grilled onions in my hash browns were not grilled, looked and tasted like they were boiled. 2 bites and I was done. I will continue getting salads here.Food: 1/5

Got the Greek gyro. The pita was hard and chewy. The meat was room temperature and the wife asked for Honey mustard for her chicken strips and did not receive that, ran out of water halfway through the mail. Waitress did not return until the meal was done with the bill. Not a very good experience.Food: 2/5

Nice local spot for brunch! The owner George was very kind and greeted us on the way in and out. Solid service and great views on the outdoor patio where we sat near the bird houses and colorful flowers. The food is a hit during brunch! Very family friendly spot.Food: 4/5

If you're looking for a place with casual atmosphere great food then George's Senate is the place. Neighborhood feeling. We do not live close by but if given the opportunity would definitely return!Food: 5/5
