This place came recommended by my neighbor .. The bread was delicious, it was gone in a heart beat and was crunchy and soft inside yum and tasty . The chocolate and plain croissant were ok not for me , but hey every bakery has its star and at the Georgetown it their bagels I thought st viateur would never have a contender this came close , a touch sweet but perfectly hugged a sunny side egg , Swiss cheese and some salmon !!! This is easily the best place for bread in St. John's. I've been going here for years and every single thing I have bought here has been delicious and truly a treat. Their small items like garlic bread focaccia, pain au chocolat, and croissants are so terrific. Every loaf of bread is divine and has a marvelous soft and fluffy texture inside, and there is a good chance of getting one still hot from the oven. Incredibly fresh every day and even after a few days these loafs make the best toast.
The baked goods here are truly authentic and delicious. However, the option for electronic payments would be a welcome addition. Also, while the cat lounging on the floor adds to the charm, it might be worth reevaluating. Overall, for bagels and bread, this place is unbeatable!

The real deal! Their ficelle and pains au chocolat were our introduction to them in our stay in St. John’s and they’re what kept us coming back for more!You can taste the care and time that goes into their doughs.
If you're in search of bagels, this is the place to go. They are simply perfect—no toasting required! My workplace orders them for us once a week, and we absolutely adore them.
I walked to this bakery one morning and the aroma of fresh bread was literally wafting all down the block. Great little bakery with very tasty bread and pastries!!
Everything about this bakery is simply AMAZING! I get hot fresh breads and bagels from them all the time and they’re the best.
