Can I give this place 7 stars? No? Drats; it's deserving. The dining experience at German Bistro 2 is outstanding. Forewarning: they only take cash. so hit the ATM before dinner. They're a small establishment so you may want to call for reservations. Also, they serve only bottled beer, but great German labels. Now onto the important part, the food.In a word: AMAZING. They start you with homemade bread and herbed butter. Crusty on the outside, soft delicious on the inside. A bowl of peppery cole slaw comes along to start your meal. German Bistro 2 was an amazing experience! This is a small family owned operated business with superior service outstanding food. The owner was our server she was so friendly explained in detail about some of the things on the menu since this was our first time visiting. They brought us some bread with an herded butter some German cole slaw for free as an appetizer. I had the jagerschnitzel with the German potato salad (warmed of course) the spaetzel with gravy. If you've ever wanted to go try the food in Germany but are here in Clearwater, eat here. I was in Germany 2 years ago and this place has the exact flavors that I remembered. Large portions and excellent home cooked meals. I had the veal and beef wrapped in cabbage. The owner and staff were very friendly. It was like going to my friend's parents house having dinner.

My husband and I finally checked this place out this evening and WOW! We are already looking forward to our next meal here. Authentic, flavorful, and all around delicious German food. I follow KETO Diet and most of the german food is good for you like cabbage and sauerkraut. This place is small with 12 to 15 tables so you should make a reservation. It appears to be homemade cooking as I have had the pumpkin soup and the beef vegatable and it was very good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
