Gidleigh Park. 8 course tasting menu. Service almost impeccable, welcoming, yet not familiar . I got impatient with the waits between so many courses. I wouldn 't re-choose menu, excellent though the food was, and entertaining, with so much happening on each plate. I disliked How was everything? after every course! No Sherry cream sauce with the veal and the crispy bacon was limp. Fabulous sweetbreads with almonds though. Wines by glass very expensive. Lovely walk in grounds after lunch.

Gidleigh Park Hotel in Devon really is in the middle of nowhere and takes some finding, but it is certainly worth it! As it was lunch and we drove the consumption of wine was limited to a couple of glasses. Whilst extensive and of great quality the list was still a little on the pricey side making even the set lunch, with service, around £150 for two. Ideal for the occasional treat and we'll save up to stay over next time!

Gidleigh Park, Chagford is a country house hotel in a great location, beside the scenic river Teign. We had the 8-course lunch signature menu, which was expensive, but showed the wide range of exquisite food on offer. A cheaper option would be 2 courses from the fixed lunch menu, followed by coffee petits-fours. Skip dessert, because the petits-fours are substantial. Service is impeccable.

GIDLEIGH PARK RESTAURANT Pan fried Fois Gras and Quail risotto both with trufle shaving with beautifully balanced flavours that were accentuated by Nahe Spatlese. Lamb and Grouse were both in pink perfection, tender and juicy complimented by Ornellaia 99. Trio of chocolate light and heavenly; the sorbet absolutely great. From the moment we arrived at Gidleigh Park Restaurant in Chagford, Devon it was a fantastic experience. The service was spot on; attentive without being obtrusive. The food (set lunch menu) was perfect with delicious extras. The surroundings were beautiful for a post lunch wander. I hope to return as soon as possible for the tasting menu!

Gidleigh Park, Chagford We visited this restaurant on 17th September for our wedding anniversary. Absolutely superb from start to finish. We had the 8 course starter menu the highlight of which has to be the beef course it was melt in the mouth tender. Would recommend it the service, the food, the venue everything was lovely. Thank you.

Gidleigh Park is truly a magnificent restaurant. Michael Caines should be most proud. Every dish on the tasting menu was yummy and the staff were friendly and helpful. I wish it was nearer London so I could go more often. Failing that, I wish I could stay at their beautiful hotel, with gorgeous surroundings more often. Just amazing.

Lovely atmosphere! the people who work there would do anything for you. Enjoyed the food very much. Michael Caines was the chef for the lunch we had there. Would go back again. Quite pricey but nice for an occassional treat! Reserva una mesa ahora

Stunning setting, excellent service and truly memorable food what an experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Gidleigh to anyone wanting a top class experience.
