We were visiting Buffalo during the Allentown Art Festival, and were not excited by the restaurants in that part of town, which were mostly pretentious, noisy, and overpriced sports bars. We decided to wait and have dinner somewhere a little better. But we had no idea where. After noodling around a bit, we walked by Gigi's, and poked our heads in under the awning to see what the food on the outdoor diner's plates looked like... Hmm, not bad. So we went in, sat down, and had an early dinner. We started with a couple of Italian Beers, salad, and the antipasto. Very tasty and presented with care and attention to detail. The addition of finocchio to the salad was a brilliant touch. We ordered th...

I've eaten here before and I have reservations about giving this restaurant a review since I know people who work hereThey had a New Year's Eve special menu which wasn't all that different from the regular menu except more expensive food.I ordered the artichoke fritter which was good but why do Italian restaurants feel the need to put red peppers in everything? I can't eat them and it wasn't in the description . So not happy with that. The salad however and the house dressing was really good. Now this is a Sicilian restaurant. I grew up eating this type of food my whole life. One of the specials was chicken Milanese. You really can't make a mistake with that but never in my life did I have de...

Drove by Gigi’s many times. The patio always looked so cute. Finally made it there! Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The food was ok. My glass of iced tea was in a dirty glass. Made it very unappealing. The wooden block that the bread came out on looked dirty and not washed from the last customer. The service was what will make me not come back. After I was seated, a couple was seated next to us maybe 5 minutes later, that our waitress knew. She had a brief conversation, and proceeded to take their order first, hence being served first. Completely walked by our table. I think she knew I was unhappy but tried to ignore it. Just so blatant. Not the way to make your customer feel. The atmos...

The absolute best chicken cutlets in wny. The milanese is incredible. the salad that comes as a soup or salad choice is the best included salad ive ever had with a meal. the bread with olive oil and fava bean hummus is my favorite bread service around. Let 's not forget the awesome and welcoming staff that always makes us feel like family. Yesterday my wife had a beet salad special that was in her opinion better (by far) than the ones she has had at the western door and other high end restaurants. Very reasonable prices as well especially considering the quality of the food.

I sat at the bar, and the live music by Maria Sebastian was an absolute highlight! I ordered the Salade Niçoise, which was excellent. The tuna was perfectly seared (I can't stand it when it's overcooked), and the salad was fresh and full of flavor. I would definitely come back. Also, for those with dietary restrictions, they offer gluten-free pasta for $4.

The website mentions that they're open on Tuesdays until 9 PM, but Google says they're closed. I called at 7:02 to double-check and spoke with a girl who assured me they were open. However, when my friend and I arrived at 7:24, the doors were locked and the lights were off. Seriously?
