I was rather disappointed tonight with service at Ginza. There was seven of us eating at the hibachi grill, but one of us ordered from the dinner menu instead. The dinner menu item came out 10 minutes before the chef began preparing the other meals. When we questioned the food runner why it had been delivered so much earlier than the others, he got visibly irritated. Our server then came and offered to take it back to the kitchen, but we didn’t feel comfortable doing that. I only gave three stars to atmosphere because it’s a very bright and open area, Where, as I feel, it should be more private and cozy, like Kobe Steak used to be.
Our experience at Ginza Japanese Hibachi was incredibly disappointing. We informed them of a shrimp allergy in advance, and they assured us the meal would be cooked in the back to avoid cross-contamination. Instead, they simply didn’t cook anything and completely forgot the meal altogether. The service was chaotic and unprofessional. They kept forgetting items we ordered, double-charged us, and seemed overwhelmed the entire time. On top of that, we were in a rush, and their disorganization only made things worse. This place was messy, unaccommodating, and overall a terrible experience. We won’t be coming back.
The service was great but the sushi rolls were lacking a bit in flavor and the fish inside was warm. The miso soup and house salad was delicious and the sashimi and nigiri were great as well. This place just shared my top sushi spots. Katsu was great, and the sashimi deluxe platter was almost too much food for me to eat. Other places, it's barely enough or requires an appetizer. Not here! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
