This used to be out go to place! Whenevere we felt like we needed a night out or a nice romantic and calm dinner... Last friday me and my boyfriend decided it was time to go there again, for we needed a nice calm dinner afer a long and stressful week... It was a really long experience so I'll sum it up!Pros: Service is still great, I think it has even improved!Place is cosy, clean and nice.This and nostalgy are the 2 points I gave!Cons: They no longer offer half size portions (which isn't an important con, but half size plates were a huge pro!)I think they might have changed chef and administration, for the quality of the food has changed a lot and for worst! We ordered a shellfish, tomatoes...
I measure the quality of a restaurant on three levels; quality/price of the food, ambience and service. Our experience on our first visit was that on all three counts the experience was very good. I would like to give five stars but I always feel that on the first visit you can't measure that level of quality. We particularly enjoyed the ambience and decor of the restaurant which is very relaxing and romantic. The freshly baked bread is superb and the wine list comprehensive and reasonably priced. Our food was as expected, very good and ample portion sizes. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Perhaps next time 5 stars !!
