Excellent! I went with my parents to the Girvan grill and fiancée for early dinner on Valentine's Day. The restaurant is located in the clubhouse of the Edinburgh golf course. Girvan Grille looks great and has a high feeling without excessive prices. We sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks. A good menu for a golf clubhouse but limited as a restaurant Only about 5 entrees, a couple of salads and then a bunch of burgers and sandwiches. Service was very pleasant but, like so many places now, it's probably understaffed. There was one verypleasant waitess for 16 of us at dinner. Even though we had reserved, they were not set up for us and it took them 10 minutes toclean and set up a hodge podge of tables Meals came in waves rather than at the same time. Tastiest Spicy Wings I Have Had.. I originally went there for the the Ghost Wing Challenge. I took my youngest brother to join with the challenge. We both ordered a little just to have something else in the stomach. My burger was OK. He seemed to like the steak special. Then the wings came out along with the executive chef you created them. They were so good and so spicy (I have had hotter). My brother couldn't take the heat but agreed on how tasty they were. I went back again with my mother loved the flavor but could not get the 10th wing down. I will go back for the wings and wear my winning t-shrt.
I visited this restaurant with a group of four based on a recommendation from one of my coworkers. Our server was friendly, but the place felt somewhat empty. I ordered the Edinburgh Burger, which turned out to be quite dry, and the coleslaw was rather ordinary. My colleagues chose wraps—the Diablo and the Buffalo Chicken. The portion sizes were generous, but they had a bit too much bleu cheese in the Buffalo Chicken wrap. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for dining alone; it might be better suited as a spot to stop by before or after a round of golf.

Burgers are usually very good. The rest of the menu, on the other hand, it's very inconsistent. Soggy or oily fries tells me the fryers not hot enough or not cleaned on a regular basis. Also one experience I had where I ordered a chicken wild rice soup to-go and it was extremely over peppered,to the point I couldn't even eat it. Disappointed because not more than a year ago this place was a very good restaurant, hope it will get back to where they were. New head Chef,back to where it was as far as quality and cleanliness. Very happy they got back on they're game!
This is a lovely, quiet restaurant. We all ordered the filet mignon cooked to medium, but unfortunately, the steaks were inconsistent. My son's was nearly rare, mine was medium, and my wife's was almost well done. The flavor was rather bland, lacking anything remarkable. However, the waiting staff were gracious and knowledgeable about the menu and focused on resource-saving practices.
Great place for brunch, price is right and the food is excellent! The only problem I had was the 18% grt. They added the bill, I understand the argument, but I type more than if the service is good what it was!
Its definitely a small, family-owned type place, the food was decent but nothing special. It's nice for a casual meal, but nothing more. Would go back again.
