I ordered a beer at the bar, all good. Went to the restaurant and ordered a pulled pork sandwich, they give you a buzzer for when it's done... okay.. all good! So I sat down at a table, the table was sticky so I kept my arms off the table. It's an open Air kitchen so you can see in on what the cooks are doing. There was a guy with a white shirt on, long hair no gloves or apron. I thought that was odd because there was a female cook there in chef attire and wearing gloves. Went to the Gladstone Hotel with our family for a Tuesday hamburger meal. The food was freshly prepared, the serving was generous. For $12 you get, a big hamburger, plenty of fries, AND a glass of wine or a beer or a cool drink. If somebody knows a better value meal in Sydney please let us know. We will be back on Monday for Chicken schnitzel meal also $12. The staff were friendly as well.
Had the BBQ seafood (BBQ prawns, baby octopus and a squid tube) and substituted a salad for chips ($25) and my dining companion had the chicken souvlaki. The seafood was excellent and both dishes had beautiful flavours. There was also a 5 hour cooked lamb shoulder on the specials menu that I've heard is delicious and falls apart as it should. Will definitely return.
Dulwich Hill is crying our for a local pub with good quality food...the food here is consistently bad and I've given up (i gave it a good shot in support). The owners would do well to have a loo around at what is happening on other local pubs

Inexpensive, good value food. Grab a meal and some trivia during the week or catchup with friends. There is a great variety on the menu and the quality has always been the same for the last 6 years from my experience.
We ate here several time over the past week and had lovely service and food. Enjoyed Chicken Kebabs, Fish and Chips , Chicken Parma , Chicken Salad , Lamb Ribs and lamb Souvlaki. All fresh and delicious.
My wife and I live in the area and will frequent the pokies there occasionallyWe've eaten here a few times but only out of desperation.
Really love having such a good pub close to home. Find the food very disappointing though and suggest the menu needs to be revamped.
