I recently had dinner at Glen Prairie for the first time, after living in the neighborhood for five years. The experience was outstanding from start to finish. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, with staff who were well-versed in the menu and offered helpful suggestions without being pushy. This was a refreshing change from the apathetic and uninformed servers I have encountered at other local restaurants. My experience at this restaurant tonight was absolutely terrible. My husband and I went for a dinner date and were told we would have to wait over an hour for a table. We considered waiting, but when I asked if we could sit at the empty bar and order food there, the hostess/manager told us we could only have drinks at the bar and no food was allowed. We decided to leave. However, a friend of mine called shortly after we left and was told that there were seats available at the bar. When she asked if she could order dinner there as well, she was told yes. It seems like the manager is either being discriminatory or dishonest. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

My wife suggested trying a new restaurant for dinner, and we were completely impressed. We ordered the arugula black bean salad and the duck breast, which were absolutely delicious. It was the best meal I have ever had. The service was exceptional, our drinks were always refilled promptly, and our server was attentive without being overbearing. I can't believe I hadn't discovered this hidden gem sooner. I highly recommend it.

Although the restaurant still provides gluten-free options, the quality of the food and overall experience has significantly declined in recent years. I used to happily pay a premium for their delicious meals, but now feel disappointed by the lower quality offerings. The decrease in quality is quite noticeable. Still offering GF options is a plus, but the quality of the food and flavors have really gone downhill from several years ago. Used to be happy to pay the premium price for their delicious meals, but recently felt ripped off with lower quality offerings.The difference is way obvious. Waitress was not very friendly and hesitant to accommodate.

The dining experience was fantastic. The food was made with locally sourced ingredients and meat, resulting in incredibly fresh flavors. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

good eating, wonderful atmosphere, but a little expensive and our hostess was a little sniffing. maybe just a bad day, but I would like to be greeted with a smile and we are so happy to hire her here kind of.

We had the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer, (I'm going to ask for the sauce on the side next time), mom enjoyed the Braised Short Ribs, and the special that evening was GF Fish and Chips which were very good.

Celebrated our anniversary with yummy drinks, delicious dinner and decadent dessert. Very attentive staff, beautiful surroundings.
