Gösser Bräu im alten Rathaus

We booked a table for 8, 6 adults and 2 children. First of all I don’t know Austrian policy about masks but none of the staff members was wearing one. We waited 1 hour to eat, the restaurant was full. We asked many times if they could send someone to take our order and all the staff would not answer, giggling between them and a waiter answered just NO. We ordered Wienerschnitzel for everyone and it was just awful, cold and chewy. Never to come back in this place ever again. AWFUL!

We stopped here in 4 for a quick break in a 90 km bike tour. Quickness is their strong point. No more than 5 minutes between our order and the arrival of food. My mixed grilled meat was very good and the Wiener Schnitzel ordered by the other 3 was delicious as much. Reasonable pricing, service is effective. If you don’t have much time to stay in Lienz but you need a culinary break, this is your place

Positive: Great location (older, central part of Lienz). Exquisite food, including dishes typical for the region. Helpful staff. To be improved: Tables were not always cleaned after the previous diners left.

Service was fast, food was good. We had what you would expect from a beer place: weisswurst Bavaria, Tyrolean sausages and wienerschnitzel with tons of fries ...good. I reccommend to try the Radler drink.

Good choices of beverages and food, drinks are really good. Kind staff, nice place to staff a few moments to enjoy Lienz.
