I was a bit stupid to go into the gold star, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. the personal was friendly, the chip shop is clean and well managed. the meals I ordered were exactly what I ordered. the food was hot and the portions were good. the curry is still great they can go to other chip shops and the curry changes consistency and taste throughout the time I was here, it has not changed. the chips are always beautiful (some chips are disgusting) I am already back a few times and have found the same level of the service. that's my way into the chip shop. but the old saying is still true that you cannot all be satisfied
This has got to be the worst takeout I have ever had. The meat was dry and tough. I ordered the mixed kebab and the lamb and chicken were so dry, it seemed like they were just reheated and were inedible. My wife had the beef with green peppers and the beef was tough and lacked flavor. In over 30 years of eating takeout food, I have never had a meal this bad. It came close, but this one tops them all.
We placed our order over the phone with a friendly girl, but when the food arrived, it was terrible. The fries were oily and lacked salt, despite our request. The savoury cake was extremely dry and inedible. It was a disappointing experience and a complete waste of money.

Had my 1st order from here delivered today and although I would definitely recommend the food I was dissapointed that they got my meal wrong after repeating it back to me on the phone, half chips/fried rice is not just fried rice, it wasn't rocket science guys!
I ordered a few chicken kebabs from this restaurant, but they arrived looking like chewed up dog food. It was absolutely disgusting and inedible. There was nothing special about this place. The chips were the only decent thing.
When in the area I always use this chippie. Great service, very friendly AND cracking fish and chips. I can recommend the large spring roll and curry sauce
