We arrived before our reservation time and saw people getting turned away cause they were too busy. Turns out 3 tables is too busy. After an hour of waiting and an entree only just arriving we had to leave so we could make our show, luckily not really though) we had someone that could stay behind and get it as a take away, as we were leaving we heard it would be a 45 minute wait with only table having their food cooked. Another half an hour passes and they get our order. An hour and a half waiting time for the order to be wrong and have a meal be missed. Really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. The wait staff were extremely lovely, helpful and friendly. The food was fabulous. I'm not normally a fan of honey chicken but it was delicious, not soggy or fatty at all. The calamari with chilli salt was very salty but delicious too. Great San choy bau and spring rolls. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.
Had an amazing meal at the Golden Bamboo. The decor may be a little dated but the service was prompt and polite and the food was amazing. Every dish was perfect, fresh and steaming hot. Apart from the food and the staff, I could see a little of the kitchen as well and it was spotless. Will definitely be going back.
This restaurant doesn't appear to be much in appearances and you do need to look carefully at the menu to find the gems in the usual Australianised items, there are some great options here and the food is very fresh and tasty. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Staying at the Brisbane International only an easy 1klm away I walked up to grab takeaway after reading great reviews here. Wonderful customer service and delicious freshly made Chinese. Highly recommend.
Jennifer has run this restaurant for 20 plus years....we have been going for nearly 10 years and you cant beat it for a family or couples celebration....very friendly as well as great food...
We are super lucky that this Chinese restaurant is within walking distance from our home. It's fresh, delicious and the portions are more than generous. Highly recommended!
This has to be the best chinese restaurant in Brisbane. We moved from the area but even after almost 4 years, still love to drive back here for their beautiful cuisine.

The meal for 2 was fresh, hot, quick service and the food was absolutely divine and plentiful. You most certainly won't leave hungry.
