Golden Carp Chippy

Most will agree that the customer BELIEVES they are right....... After visiting the Golden Carp every Friday evening for 35 years, from the early years with the children, to retirement as a couple I reckon we have spent at least 15,000 pounds, digested a trawler load of fish, a field of potatoes, a flock of chickens, and all washed down with a swimming pool of curry sauce! Why should that stop? Last week I asked for my usual Chicken Breast,then back home to find a leg. At least it looked like leg the leg bone being a definite clue. In my opinion it still needed more cooking, but more importantly it had attached what I considered is the Colon, or to be less polite the well filled A.... H... I...

Staff don't listen to the customer. Then accuse the customer of trying to get extra portion. Very rude not very well trained staff. We won't set foot in this place again. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

Lovely food, well prepared and thoughtfully packaged. Fish and chips is always popular with the family, but it’s pie and chips for me. Great grub. Always a winner for dinner.

Can only say great things about this Chippy. Great food, great staff and great choice. Special mention to Mike the new girl who served me earlier. Keep up the good work.

Made me feel very sick and was sat on the toilet for a long time after eating your food. Chips were way to salty
